CEO - Max E. Shishlyannikov

Max started his career in daylighting two years ago as dealer of NLCI. Over the years of work on several projects Max developed close business relationship with Paul and Bruce. Subsequently, he was asked to join the NLCI management team to help the company get prepared for the substantial growth. Max Shishlyannikov has more than 15 years of leadership experience building small to medium business from the ground-up and managing large scale projects for top-tier companies. The unique combination of experience of leading start-up companies to success and working for large US and Russian enterprises has provided Max with a necessary set of tools for taking an idea, implementing it into a business environment, and leading the company to the next level.

Max received his MBA and BS in Accounting and Finance form State Financial Academy of Moscow, as well as BA in Philosophy from Moscow State University.

Max is an equestrian enthusiast and a polo player. His active hobbies also include tennis, skiing, and scuba diving. Max also enjoys the opera and has been a supporter of San Francisco Opera Charitable Foundation.


President - Paul J. Bilbrey

Paul began his career in daylighting in Phoenix and Arizona. in 1986 helping to bring the first active daylighting system to market. He formed his own contracting company in 1989 and incorporated Natural Lighting Co. in 1990. He designed and patented his first product in 1991 and began manufacturing and installing his own line of products. Paul oversees the day-to-day operations including manufacturing, finance and new product design.


CEO of John Picard & Associates - John Picard

John Picard is an architect, builder, entrepreneur as well as a renowned building efficiency and sustainability expert. He is currently the founder and CEO of John Picard & Associates, an environmental and sustainability consulting firm working with international clients.

He began his career as a designer, builder and entrepreneur. In 1990, John made an important personal transition from building big to building smart when he built his own home. to operate completely "off the grid.". His experience, passion and commitment to sustainability have helped him become one of the most sought-after experts in his field.

Picard was one of the first members of President Bill Clinton's Greening of the White House team that developed environmental energy audits and innovative upgrade recommendations for the complex. This led to him becoming a founding member of the U.S. Green Building Council. In the early 1990s, he worked with corporations like Interface Inc. and The Gap to develop and implement pioneering environmental energy efficiency policies and operational systems to improve efficiency and productivity. Since then, Picard's unique vision and expertise has brought success and profitability to his many clients.

Picard recently signed on to serve as Sustainability Consultant for the City of Greensburg, Kansas for Planet Green's major programming initiative "Greensburg", produced by Leonardo DiCaprio and Craig Piligian. The 13-episode series will play across The Discovery Channel, Planet Green,TLC and The Science Channel.

Picard has been covered in trade publications and has been a speaker for Fortune 500 companies and universities. He has received awards and honors in the fields of architecture and energy. Picard's network of colleagues allows him to build his own "dream teams" to tackle the most complex, multi-disciplinary projects.


Vice President - Bruce Bilbrey

Bruce's early business ventures included construction management, business consulting, and co-owner of Eco-Logical marketing. He joined Paul's company in 1993, first managing the manufacturing and installation, and took over the sales and marketing in 1996. Bruce is your first point of contact and handles site visits, audits and project design, as well as being the front line for all sales & marketing activity.
